Profile Of Life
“The clock of life is wound but once
And no man has the power
To tell jus when the hands will stop,
At late or early hour
Now is the only time you own
Live, love and toil with a will
Place no faith in tomorrow,
For the clock may then be still.”

Quincy was born on September 11, 1952 to Charlie and Myrtis Williams, who preceded him in death along with his two siblings.

Quincy attended the Public School System located in New Britain Connecticut. He worked as a construction worker and was employed at Plant Vogtle for many years.  Later in his life and career, he became a truck driver. He also worked at Walmart before his health began failing him.

Quincy was united for 48 years in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Mae Alice Dukes.  To this union, five  beautiful children were born.

In 2007, Quincy began his journey as Assistant Pastor of New and Living Way Worship Center.  It was under the leadership of Pastor Christopher McBride, until his health failed.
On the morning of January 1, 2021, God called our beloved Quincy home to eternal rest.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Mae Alice Williams, his three sons; Gregory Dukes of New Britain Connecticut, Quincy (Laverna) Williams Jr., and Felton (April) Williams of Waynesboro, Georgia, two daughters, Gretta (Willie) Rollins of Waynesboro, Georgia and Myrtis (Daryl) Henry of Houma, Louisiana, one sister, Mary Hankerson of Augusta, Georgia, one uncle, Clarence (Ruth) Williams of New Britain Connecticut, three sisters-in-law; Nancy (Willie) Douse, Elizabeth Dukes, and Jeanette (Samuel) Burdett all of Waynesboro, Georgia, two brothers-in-law; Wheeler Dukes Jr. of Waynesboro, Georgia and John (Lisa) Dukes of Columbia South Carolina, fourteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
