Obituary for Willie Edward Mack Gordon Mr.

William Edward “Pee-Wee” Mack Gordon, a resident of Waynesboro, Georgia, was born to the parentage of the late Nelson Stokes Sr. and Ethel Mack Allen in Alto, Georgia on May 15,1949. Soon after, this bundle of joy joined the union of Jessie and Ella Mae Gordon and became the man that you knew and love today. He married Hattie Ruth Gordon on December 15, 1967. During these 52 years of marriage, they raised one son and one daughter. Dedicated Worker William’s work history reflects an impressive 20+ years of employment on Fort Gordon Army Base. He was also a member of the Class Truck Club for 4+ years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Ella Mae Gordon; birth parents Nelson Stokes Sr and Ethel Mack Allen; his siblings, Josephine Moss Anthony Allen, Ivora Allen, Sonny Stokes, Nelson Stokes Jr, Jeffery Stokes. He leaves to rejoice and cherish his memory: his loving, forgiving and dedicated wife, Hattie Ruth Gordon of Waynesboro, Georgia; two sons, Darien Gordon of Waynesboro, Georgia; Rodney Lakes of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Cortney (Charles) Jordan; five brothers, Robert Allen, Rodriguez Allen, Johnny Lee Allen, and William Solve, all of Pompano, Florida; Robert Stokes of Waynesboro, Georgia; seven sisters, Patricia Jones of Saint Paul, Minnesota; Diane Bridgett of Tampa, Florida; Gwendolyn Graham of Tampa Florida; Melvina (Willis)Wright of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Le’Shune (Jeffery) Clark of Oxnard, California; Rennitta Johnson of Waynesboro, Georgia; Mary Alice Hunter of Savannah, Georgia; one uncle, Clarence Johnson of Waynesboro Georgia; one aunt, Josephine Ellison; special cousins, Annie Mae Hackle of Waynesboro, Georgia; Hazel Smith of Savannah, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
