Obituary for Pecola Campbell (Coleman)

Pecola Coleman Campbell was born September 10th, 1937 in Millen, Georgia to the late Carrie Lee Coleman. In the early hours of Sunday, January 24, 2021, Pecola entered into eternal rest.

Pecola was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Alton Campbell. She was a member of Beechwood Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for over 60 years.

Pecola was a nurse for an extended amount of time as well as a person care provider/owner. Pecola was also a mental health counselor. She was a stellar in the community assisting with her volunteer at the Senior Citizen Building.

Pecola was a past Worth Matron where she served several years and a life ember of New Aurora Chapter #60 Order of Eastern Star of Waynesboro, Georgia.

Pecola was preceded in death by her sister; Mrs. Elizabeth Jones and grandson; Mr. Antonio “Buck” Walker.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her loving son; Ricky V. Coleman of Waynesboro, GA, one sister; Mrs. Maggie Pinckney of St. Petersburg, FL, six loving grandchildren; Charelle Sims, Latoya Huff, Swan Adams, Latarsha Webb, Rodrick Cooper and Ricardo Webb of Waynesboro, GA, a host of great grandchildren, one great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
