Obituary for Lizzie Mae Climes (Roberson)

Lizzie R. Climes was born January 6, 1942 to Annie Mae Lewis Stone. She departed her life on
January 7, 2021, at Doctor's Hospital in Augusta, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Ellis Charles Climes, Jr., mother; Annie Mae Lewis Stone, step-father; Johnny Stone, grandparents; Lizzie Lewis Holmes and Elijah Holmes, one sister; Doreatha S. Mable, four brothers; Isiah Roberson, Bobby Stone, Billy Stone and Jimmy Stone.

At an early age, she joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was employed at Samson
Manufacturing for 23 years. In 1979, Lizzie joined in Holy Matrimony with Reverend Ellis Charles Climes, Jr. and they were united for 45 years until God called him home.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four daughters; Mary Webb of Evans GA, Shirley Ellison of Tuskegee, AL, Priscilla Climes of Augusta, GA and Bridgett (Troy) Neely of Augusta, GA, four sons; Terry (Beatrice) Roberson of Waynesboro, GA, Jeffery (Tracey) Climes of Atlanta, GA, Steve (Fabrienne) Climes of Atlanta, GA and Cornelius Climes of St. Petersburg, FL, three sisters; Frances Stone, Mary Ann (Rev. Bernard Walker) of Waynesboro, GA and Ella Wright of Atlanta, GA, five brothers; Willie (Queen) Stone, Robert (Mary) Stone of Waynesboro, GA , Roy Stone of Boston, MA, Johnny (Pearl) Stone of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Johnny (Liz) Stone of New Jersey, seven sisters-in-law; Juanita Roberson of Waynesboro, GA, Ethel Lockhart, Ida (Paul) Wimberly, Pauline Climes of St. Petersburg, FL, Mattie Freeman of Tallahassee, FL , Willie Mae Climes of Atlanta, GA and Alberta Stone, twenty-one grandchildren, sixteen-great grandchildren, one great-great -great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends; Betty Warren and Christine Pollen, other relatives and friends.
