Obituary for Frankie Mae Jones (Hill)

Mrs. Frankie Jones departed this life on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Jones was born on February 16, 1953, to the late John Hill, Sr, and Ida P. Hill in Burke County, Georgia. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized and united with the Third Chapel Baptist Church, where she served diligently and faithfully until her death. Mrs. Jones was united in holy matrimony on February 3, 1973 to the late Deacon Tommy Jones, and to this union was born three children, two of whom preceded her in death: Larhonda S. Jones and Alicia D. Jones Gadson. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Willie Mose Hill, Gordon Hill, Robert Hill, John Hill, Jr., and Sarah Jean Hill.

Mrs. Jones was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to all. Mrs. Jones retired from Samson’s Manufacturing after dedicating her life to 43 years of service. She loved and served the Third Chapel Baptist Church faithfully until death as the finance secretary and member of the choir. She loved her pastor and made every effort in sickness and in her health to follow him everywhere he went to share the word of God. She sincerely loved and cherished her family and friends and she always had a kind word and smile to share with everyone.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son, Christopher (Taquilla) Jones of Waynesboro, GA; one daughter Makenzie Phillips-Jones of Waynesboro, GA; one son-in-law; Pastor Anthony Gadson, Sr., of Barnwell, SC; one brother, Frank (Lillie) Hill, of Hephzibah, GA; three sisters, Emma Ray Moore and Johnnie Mae Mansfield, of Bronx, NY, Rosa Crim of Delta, PA; brother-in-laws, Jesse (Brenda) Jones, Benjamin (Rosie)
Jones, Johnny P. Jones, and Edward Jones, all of Waynesboro, GA; sister-in-laws, Pearl (Charles) Clay, of Titusville, FL, Martha (Tom) Young and Jessie (Dan) Boyd all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Diane (Johnny) Davis, Dorothy (Robert) Walden all of Waynesboro, GA, Joyce A. Jones, of Jacksonville, FL and Luretha Jones of Ft. Lauderdale, FL., Twelve grandchildren: Deanna Jones, Dontrell Jones, N’kia Jones, Jequevian Thomas, Raven Jones, Andre James, Cameron Jones, La-Chyna Jones, Jaden Jones, Anthony Gadson, Jr (baby G),
Whitney Dent and Diamond Bennett; great-grandchildren: Madison, Nolan, Zion, Haidyn,
Karter, and Adrean; five godchildren: Ahkiah Dishmond, Bobby Williams, Jr; Jahvon Williams, Janiah Williams, and Jada Smith; a special and dutiful niece Psecharner Warthen; adopted son Charles (Magic) Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
