Elizabeth Jones, the daughter of Mr. Eli Coleman and Mrs. Carrie Lee Jones Coleman, born on July 25, 1933 in Rocky Ford, Georgia. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 28, 2020. She was married to Mr. Willie “Pete” L. Jones for 54 years and was the mother of five children. Elizabeth was full of life and had a caring spirit. While the majority of her adult life was spent as a homemaker, she worked for many years as a seamstress, and operated an in-home daycare in both Peekskill, NY and Waynesboro, GA. Elizabeth attended school in Jenkins County. She also a member of Zion Baptist Church and attended Welcome Baptist Church. Elizabeth enjoyed gardening, sewing, and decorating. Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Mr. Willie L. Jones; In addition to her husband, she leaves behind five children; Mrs. Valder D. (Nathaniel) Gibson, Hobe Sound, FL, Mr. Dwight C. Chance of Augusta, GA, Ms. Victoria Chance of Woodstock, GA, Ms. Sheryl “Beloved” Jones of Atlanta, GA, and Mrs. Michele J. (Eric) Warren of Hephzibah, GA, twelve grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews, cousins, a special god-daughter, Mrs. Pamela D. Luke of Millen, GA, and a very special CNA, Ms. Crystal Marshall of Augusta, GA, who lovingly cared for Elizabeth during her final year of her life.
